Looking for SuperGrok? It's called Premium now, and it's $30

xAI scrapped the SuperGrok plans in October and folded Grok into one bundle with X and Cursor. What each new plan costs, which one matches your old SuperGrok, and how to pay less.

The new Grok plans

What happened to SuperGrok

Until October there was a whole ladder of them: SuperGrok Lite, SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy and a Business plan. That's why Google still suggests all of those names. xAI retired the lot and launched The X Subscription, which bundles Grok with Cursor's coding agents and the X Premium perks: a checkmark, creator tools and fewer ads.

xAI's own announcement says Premium includes "the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and X Premium+," which used to cost $90 a month combined. So if you only cared about Grok, the price is the same as before and you get extras you may or may not use. If you already pay for SuperGrok, you don't have to do anything: you can keep it, or switch from your billing settings and get a prorated refund.

Which one do you need?

For a few questions a day, Free is fine. Plus at $8 is the one I'd try first if you keep hitting limits: it covers Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build with more usage, plus the X checkmark.

Premium is where xAI lists the latest Grok models, faster replies, Grok Bot and its image and video generation, with four times Plus's usage. That's the real SuperGrok replacement. Super ($100) adds 1080p, 15-second videos and priority access at busy times, and Ultra ($200) gets the strongest chat model and the most usage. Unless you make video every day or run agents all day, you won't need either.

How to pay less

Pay yearly. Premium is $300 a year, which is $25 a month and saves you $60. Plus drops to $80 a year.

Check for the first-month offer. When I looked on a logged-in account, grok.com was offering 50% off the first month: $15 for Premium, $50 for Super, $100 for Ultra, then full price. It may not show for every account.

Resellers. GamsGo sells "X Subscription Premium (private)" for $25.49 a month with auto-renew or $25.99 without, and NDGAM usually takes about 3% off GamsGo orders. Read the details, though: it's an account GamsGo creates and sends you the login for, not an upgrade to your own. Your existing chats won't be there, and the X perks belong to that account, not your profile. How much is SuperGrok now?

SuperGrok isn't sold to new customers anymore. Its features are in X Subscription Premium, which is $30 a month or $300 a year (x.ai pricing, November 6, 2026).

What replaced SuperGrok?
